Local Willmar High School goaltender Gunnar Banks has signed a tender agreement to join the WarHawks next season. The WarHawks are excited to add more local talent to the program, as the hometown team continues to try to build from within its ranks.
Banks, a senior at Willmar High School, played in 23 games this season, posting an .890 save percentage while facing an average of 39 shots per game.
Banks joins Tanner Dahle and Eli Slagter as others who have played for the WarHawks full-time after lacing them up for the Cardinals at the Civic Center.
The program is excited about continuing to make this a community-based team, and Gunnar helps the WarHawks on and off the ice.
