The Willmar WarHawks are very excited to announce that Connor Williams has tendered with the team.
Williams, 18, 6’0” / 181lb defenseman, from Viroqua, WI started his 2024-2025 season playing 7 games with the Odessa Jackalopes 18U AA of the NAPHL. He then played 20 games for the Viroqua Blackhawks High School Varsity boys hockey team. He had 1 G/ 17 A/ for 18 points.
“Connor caught my eye at the St. Louis combine and was getting a lot of attention,” Head Coach Payton Ruter said about Williams. “He does it all. Big body, big shot, skates well and shuts down the rush. We are extremely excited to have Connor join the WarHawks family.”
“I am really excited to play and perform for all of the Willmar fans and supporters. I decided to tender in Willmar because of their tremendous fan following and the atmosphere that the program creates. I am eager to meet the team and begin working with the coaches that genuinely believe in me, want me to succeed and want to help me reach my full potential” Williams said about tendering with the WarHawks.
The WarHawks organization is excited to have Williams part of the team for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
