Warhawks / YMCA Sports Agility Program

Aug 27, 2018

The Willmar Warhawks, proud members of the NA3HL, are proud to announce their partnership with the Kandiyohi YMCA to produce a High-intensity Sports Agility Training Program for young athletes.  The program runs 4 weeks, and consists of one (1) 45-minute training program each week.  The program is designed to attract young athletes (ages 8-14) who are looking to improve  strength, speed, balance, agility and coordination.

“We are excited to be partnering up with the YMCA in an effort to get more involved with the young athletes and families of the community,” says Mike Bowman from the Warhawks. “Sports is a great way for individuals to learn healthy, active lifestyles, and many also learn valuable life lessons through their experiences as an athlete.”

Warhawks players will run the sessions, which includes a dynamic warmup, 8-station circuit workout, and cool-down. Young athletes will learn how to push themselves beyond their self-imposed limits, as well as how to properly prepare to train and finish a session.

Interested families should contact the Kandiyohi YMCA to register or for more information.
