WARHAWKS TAKE LEAD EARLY TO BEAT THE MOOSE

A lot of firsts help the WarHawks win Saturday!

WarHawks won their home game last Saturday in front of a huge crowd, gaining a much needed 2 points. Myles Ganske made his WarHawks debut in net. He had 26 saves out of the 28 shots he saw, giving him a 93% save percentage. Keegan Montgomery (1)(Adams, Callaghan) found the back of the net early in the 1st period, getting his first Junior goal. Captain Scotty Woltman (4)(Adams, Hinze, Hogan, Irion) also scored twice, in the 1st, within a few minutes forcing the Moose to take an early time out. The WarHawks kept a tight lead of 3-2 in the scoreless 2nd period. Jett Wheeler(1)(Wanka) also got his first Junior goal as well halfway through the 3rd period and Gabe Adams(6)(Holtz, Callaghan) finished off the game late in the 3rd with an empty netter.

With Saturday’s home win, the WarHawks are now tied for 3rd, with 8 points, in the very competitive West Division. The WarHawks are home again this Friday as they take on Mason City for the first time this season. Puck drop is at 7:10, pack the rink!
