WARHAWKS SPLIT THE WEEKEND WITH THE BULLS

Nov 4, 2026

Friday night the boys were on home ice and fans showed up in costumes to celebrate Halloween at the rink!

Just a little over 5 minutes into the first period the Hawks bring the puck into their Ozone on the left side and rim the puck that eventually ends up on the blue line where Kyler Flanders(4)(E. Domagala 5) throws it on net. Somehow, the puck trickles in behind the Bulls tendy and the boys go up 1 in the first. 20 seconds later, one of the Bulls players looses an edge on a zone entry and Dame pushes the puck up to Maddux Domagala(8)(Dame 2) who gets behind the Bulls right D in the neutral zone and creates a 2 on 1 zone entry. M. Domagala shows pass to the Bulls tendy and decides to shoot beating the net minder low glove to give the boys an early 2 goal lead. The Bulls are not a team you can sleep on and proved that scoring twice late in the first period to tie it up. Wyatt Garvey(4)(Canfield 2) decided he didn’t want Flanders to be the only D that scored that period. Canfield brought the puck in on the left side and waited for help. Garvey came in the zone late, received the pass and shot, scoring to put the Hawks back on top.

A little over 8 minutes into the second period, the boys have the puck down in their O zone. Puck pops up to the blue line and immediately shoot. Puck ends up in the near side corner where M. Domagala passes it up to Lucas Thelen(3)(M. Domagala 5) shoots on net besting the Bulls tendy low blocker to give the boys their second 2 goal lead of the game. Another 8 minutes go by and the Hawks have the puck in the corner again in their O zone. Puck finds Flanders on the blue line in the slot and he fires, that creates a rebound chance. Jacob Canfield(2)(Flanders 5) was in the right place at the right time to get a dirty goal. Just like in the first period, the Bulls score twice late to get them with in one goal going into the third.

The Bulls score a little under 3 minutes into the third on a 2 on 1 zone entry and again 5 minutes into the period on a power play. The lead slipped away for the second time in the night for the Hawks and now they’re playing from behind for the first time. Not to worry, Canfield wasn’t done scoring that night. With under 5 minutes to play, the boys go on a power play. The boys win the face off and shoot from the blue line. You guessed it, Jacob Canfield(3)(Thelen 1, Hendrickson 4) was net front and gets a dirty backhand goal to tie it up. With just 1:28 left in the game, Wyatt Hauer (3) has a beautiful forecheck and steals the puck in the Bulls defensive zone at the top of the near side circle. Hauer skates it in and beats the Bulls tendy high glove to get the game winning goal. WarHawks win 7-6!

Noah Germain saw 42 shots, saving 36 with a 86% save percentage.

Saturday the boys headed to North Iowa for the first time this season. They couldn’t create the same outcome as they had the night before. Maddux Domagala(9)(Hauer 3) and Wyatt Garvey(5)(M. Domagala 6, Larson 1) scored in the second period. Wyatt Hauer(5)(Thelen 2, E. Domagala 6) scored twice in the third but it just wasn’t enough to catch the Bulls lead. The WarHawks fall to the Bulls 4-7.

The WarHawks are back on home ice Friday November 6th to take on the MN Vulcans!
