WarHawks promote Coach White to Head Coach / GM

Willmar, MN – The Willmar WarHawks are proud to announce the hiring of Connor White as the team’s next Head Coach and GM of Hockey Operations.

Connor White from upstate NY is familiar with the town and organization here in Willmar as he has served as the Assistant Coach the 20-21 season. Assisting in the teams first ever playoff win and playoff series win. To then earn himself the Associate Head Coach title during the WarHawks most successful regular season in 21-22. Prior to his time in Wilmar, Connor has coached at several levels including High School, NAHL, NCAA Div. III, and ECHL.

Connor began his coaching career in 2012-2013 coaching with the South Glens Falls Bulldogs who then became and are now known as the Adirondack Rivermen. Following his 3 years coaching at the high school level came his opportunity to serve as the video coach and hockey operations assistant with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder during the 2015-2016 season. Morrisville State College (NCAA Div. III) then took him on to become the Assistant Coach the next 3 seasons. Where he lead the responsibilities of recruiting incoming players from the junior hockey ranks. He then joined the Chippewa Steel (NAHL) out of Chippewa Falls, WI as the assistant coach for the 2019-2020 season.
