Warhawks giving back to the Community

Jul 15, 2018

The Willmar Warhawks, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to be launching their community service pledge as the team enters its third season in Willmar.

“Our goal is to have every member of our team out in the community, giving back, at least 3 times per month,” says Mike Bowman, Director of Business Operations and Associate Head Coach. ” Furthermore, we have a healthy competition within the team throughout the season to see who gives the most back to Willmar and surrounding communities.”

The Warhawks are constantly looking for more  ways to be involved with Willmar and the causes supported within it’s culture.  Any non-profits and charities which are interested in utilizing the services of these young men, please contact Crystal Goosmann, Promotions and Public Relations Coordinator, at crystal@willmarwarhawks.com.

“We feel that it’s important to regularly help build the societies that support you,” Bowman continued. “The culture we are trying to establish here is one of positive integration and the village mentality. If everyone gives something, all will benefit. It’s important these young men learn the value of contributing to something much larger than themselves — sacrificing and leaving their comfort zone — all in efforts to help those in need and people who are perhaps at a struggle in their lives.  You always win if that’s the battle you’re fighting.”

The Willmar Warhawks will open their season in mid-late September, with the first home game coming early October.  Stay tuned to the website and social media for updated information.
