We’re excited to officially welcome Ben and Gus to the WarHawks family as we continue to grow and strengthen our staff.
“Ben brings a very strong ability to identify talent and evaluate players at a high level. He has a great eye for the details that translate to success at the junior level, and his experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to build our roster.
Gus adds an outstanding pedigree within high school hockey and brings a deep understanding of the landscape and the players within it. His background, connections, and knowledge will play a key role in helping us continue to recruit the right players who fit our identity.” Head Coach Joey Fodstad said about adding Ben and Gus to the WarHawks scouting team.

“Coach Joey Fodstad is building a culture in Willmar that I couldn’t agree with more! I am thrilled to have been given an opportunity to help build that.” Holm said about joining the WarHawks. “ I have been around hockey my whole life playing youth through high school in Warroad. Coached hockey at all levels for 10 plus years and currently coaching in the MSHSL with the Morris/Benson Area Storm Boys team. Super excited for what’s to come in all my hockey endeavors!”
“I’m very thrilled to be joining the Warhawks organization! They were a staple in the NA3 when I was playing and have continued to be a model organization in the West Division year in and year out.” Said Ben Monsivais when asked about working with the WarHawks. “To be a part of the scouting staff for this season is an honor. I look forward to helping Coach Fodstad and the entire Warhawks organization find future talent that will develop into tremendous college athletes and, most importantly, great young men while vying for a Fraser Cup title!”
As we continue to build something very intentional here in Willmar, adding people like Ben and Gus is a big step forward for our program. They both align with the standard, culture, and vision we’re establishing, and we’re excited to have them on board.
