The Willmar WarHawks are very excited to announce that John Sittig has tendered with the team.
Sittig, 17, 6’ / 161lb forward, from Monticello, MN has spent the last two seasons in the USPHL playing for the Minnesota Blue Ox. In his 2024-2025 season he played 30 games for the Blue Ox and he had 2 G/ 5 A/ for 7 points. Sittig played in 5 playoff games during his two seasons with the Blue Ox.
“John is exactly what you want in a hockey player,” Head Coach Payton Ruter said about Sittig. “He’s coachable, eager and a workhorse. Very excited to see his potential!”
“I was really looking for a change of pace and after the NAHL combine in St. Louis, safe to say I found what I was looking for. I’m excited to experience the legendary culture and community that I’ve heard so many good things about and truly connect with the coaches and staff in ways I haven’t experienced before,” Sittig said about tendering with the WarHawks.
The WarHawks organization is excited to have Sittig part of the team for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
