The Warhawks are excited to announce that defenseman AJ Martinelli (’99 Grosse Point, MI) has been called up to the Northeast Generals of the NAHL for their games this week vs. Jamestown.
Martinelli has been a solid mainstay on the blue line this season for the Warhawks, but is excited to get called up the Northeast Generals, the team that originally drafted him two seasons ago in the North American Hockey League. This is an opportunity for AJ to take everything he’s learned this season and in AAA hockey, and apply it all at that next level.
The Warhawks are very excited for this opportunity for the blue liner, but also know that’s a big hole to fill in the lineup. The team continues to work to replace players who will earn these opportunities.
