The Willmar WarHawks are extremely excited to announce that Blake Hicks has tendered with the team.
Hicks, 16, 6’2” / 176lb defenseman, from Kansas City, MO played 36 games for the Fresh Coast Freeze in the USPHL Premier and he had 1 G/ 5A/ for 6 points.
“Very excited to work with Blake going forward,” Head Coach Payton Ruter said about Hicks. “He is a young, big body talent that can play both F and D. A Swiss Army knife type player that can do it all and wants to win.”
“I want to develop more as a player. I know the WarHawks coaching staff will get me to the next level and by the encouragement from the fans, this will make me work that much harder to get me to the next step” Hicks said when asked about tendering with the WarHawks.
The WarHawks organization are thrilled to have Hicks part of the team for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
