The Willmar WarHawks are delighted to announce that Chris Ernster has tendered with the team.
Ernster, 16, 5’11” / 187lb goalie, from Apple Valley, MN played 11 games for the St Cloud Norsemen AAA Fall NAPHL team with a 95% save percentage and 4 game with East View High School with a 92% save percentage.
“Chris is a very mature, athletic goaltender who competes his tail off every day.” Head Coach Joey Fodstad said about Ernster. “We’re excited to have him join the Warhawks family and believe he’s a great fit for what we’re building here. We saw him at the Fall NAPHL Showcase and are excited to watch him continue to grow and develop”

After getting to know the organization and seeing what they’re all about, it feels like the right place for me to take the next step in my hockey career. I’m ready to work hard, compete every day, and do whatever I can to help the team win.” Chris Ernter said when asked about tendering with the WarHawks.
The WarHawks organization is excited to have Ernster part of the team for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
