The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Owen Amon has committed to play hockey for UW Superior!
Amon, 21, 5’11” / 170lb forward from Union Grove, WI finished his 2nd season with the Willmar WarHawks after playing with the West Bend Power. He played 79 games with 4 goals, 11 assists and 15 points in his NA3HL career.
“My time in Willmar has been some of the most memorable years for me. The connections and experiences I have made will definitely be a big part of my life.
I want to thank my billet, the Olmscheid’s, for hosting me for two seasons and giving me a home away from home.
For my coaches, thank you for mentoring me not just on the ice, but off. I am proud to say that you helped me leave Willmar a better person with the lessons and life skills you taught me.
Thank you to the team staff and the fans for helping to create an energy that helped us succeed and feel welcomed in Willmar.
To my teammates, thank you for making me excited everyday to go to the rink or the things outside of it. From the games, bus rides, hard practices, or hanging out away from the rink, these memories and friendships will be cherished for life.
Finally, thank you to my family who not only supported me throughout these years, but also sacrificed so I could make these memories and connections.
I am very excited to be continuing my academic and athletic career at UW-Superior. Thank you to the whole Warhawks family for guiding me on this journey, and I can’t wait to see how the Warhawks continue on their own.
