The Willmar Warhawks pulled off it’s most impressive series of the season on Saturday and Sunday, beating Peoria 2-1 in a shootout Saturday before winning 4-1 on Sunday. The wins took the Warhawks record to 11-31-2 for the campaign, just 5 points behind Breezy Point, with 3 games to play.
Coincidentally, the Warhawks will take on Breezy Point on the road this Friday, March 1st. If you cannot make the trip up, catch all the action on hockey tv.
Willmar closes out the 2018-19 season with home games on Friday, March 8th, against Alexandria (Fan Appreciation Night), and Saturday, March 9th, against New Ulm (Cub Foods pack the rink night). General Admission Tickets are on sale for the Alexandria game, and VIP tickets can be purchased for the New Ulm game. Cub foods will be distributing free general admission tickets to shoppers during the week leading up the Saturday 3/9 game.
