Mar 3, 2026

The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Assistant Captain Kaiden Jackson has committed to play hockey for Lawrence Technological University!

K. Jackson, 20, 5’8” / 175lb forward from Thorton, CO finished his 2nd season with the Willmar WarHawks. He played 64 games with 10 goals, 14 assists and 24 points in his NA3HL career.

“As I embark on this new chapter in my life, I am certain my time playing junior hockey in Willmar was memorable. I will never forget all the fun I had on and off the ice with my teammates, the friendships I made, and the support from our fans and staff.

First and foremost, I want to thank my parents. Mom and Dad, thank you for all the sacrifices and commitments you made for me to get to where I am today. Thank you for showing me constant support and belief throughout my hockey career. I hope you guys know how truly grateful I am for everything you guys have done for me.

As for my coaches, I am thankful for you guys helping me grow as not only a player but also as a leader. Thank you guys for pushing me at practice and in games allowing me to grow into the player I am today. Thank you for your support in me being a leader for this team.

To my billets, thank you guys for opening up your home to me. None of this would’ve been possible without you guys, truly. Thank you for making me feel like I was part of your family and creating memories away from the rink. You guys are a home away from home and I will forever be grateful for you guys.

Finally, my teammates. You guys were my motor. The laughs, the memories, and the friendships that I made are one of a kind. These are some of the best memories of my life that I will never forget, all the way from team meals to playing cards on the bus and everything in between.

With that being said, I am happy to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Lawrence Tech University. I’m excited to be a Blue Devil and can’t wait to get rolling. I am grateful for my time with the Warhawks program and can’t wait to support the future of the program from afar.

Once again, thank you to everyone in this part of my career.

– Kaiden Jackson”

“Beyond excited for KJ to continue his career, further his education and play hockey at Lawrence Tech,” Coach Payton said. “He has been a big backbone to our core this year and can be relied on in big time situations. KJ earned his opportunity from hard work and determination. We are all very proud and thrilled for his future at Lawrence Tech.”

The WarHawks congratulate Kaiden on his college commitment to Lawrence Tech University and wish him all the best as his hockey career continues to move forward.
