Big Save Girard!!!
Words we could hear over and over again this Friday night as the WarHawks hosted the Minnesota Moose, BIG SAVE GIRARD! Kai Girard led the way for the WarHawks making save after save to keep the Moose to just one goal on the night. Girard would close the game stopping 34/35. The WarHawks skaters handled their own, once again getting the early lead on a goal by Zane Irion(2)(Woltman, Hogan) prior to the 10-minute mark in the opening frame. The Hawks would add two more in the second, Wanka(6)(Hinze, Jackson) and Irion(3)(Hinze, Wendorff). The 3rd period came out goalless for both teams, closing out a big home win for the WarHawks. Coach Ruter was impressed with the team’s effort and ability to close out a game giving up zero goals in the final frame.
The WarHawks will host the Moose once again this Saturday, October 19th, at 7:10p. See you there!
