The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Forward Nik Johnson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Northland College!
Johnson 20, 5’9” / 161lb, Forward from Minneapolis, MN. Just finished his 2nd season of junior hockey. Both seasons were with the WarHawks but ended his last year with the West Bend Power for 12 games. He tallied a total of 55 points (21 goals / 34 assists) in 90 games.
“So happy for Nik. After skating and developing his over the last two seasons in Willmar and seeing his dreams come true playing NCAA college hockey is one of the reasons why I got into coaching” stated Head Coach and GM Payton Ruter.
After committing to play D III at Northland College, Johnson said that “Willmar was unbelievable, truly the best time of my life. Teammates and coaches very quickly turned into friends and family. I couldn’t be more grateful for the time I spent in the WarHawks organization!”
The WarHawks congratulate Nik on his college commitment to Northland College (WIAC) and wish him all the best as his hockey career continues to move forward as a Lumberjack!
