The WarHawks fall to the Blizzard 6-4

Kaden Ericson came up big, stopping 26 of 32 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Ryan Worley.

Eli Slagter chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Riley Dixon delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Logan Nelson had a busy night with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Brett Meister did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the second, Behl opened the scoring for the Blizzard with a goal at 4:27 with helpers from his linemates, Hermann and Lindgren. Dixon quickly followed with a goal at 4:51 with helpers from Slagter and Koester. Payne answered for Alexandria with a goal at 12:32 with assists from his linemates, Giorgio and Nelson. Nelson netted a goal at 15:13 with assists from his linemates, Payne and Meister. Meister quickly followed with a goal at 16:44 with helpers from his teammates Frerichs and Miner. Cooper answered for Willmar with a goal at 19:14 with assists from Oelkers and Koester.

During the third, Holt scored a goal at 5:08 with helpers from Shea and Toll. Worley quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:48 with assists from his linemates, Frerichs and Meister. Slagter answered for the WarHawks with a goal at 9:24 with helpers from his linemates, Bolstad and Dixon. Nelson answered for the Blizzard with a goal at 17:02 with assists from Giorgio and Mellstrom.

This loss brings the Willmar WarHawks’ record to (19-17-4-0).
