During the first period, Bolstad opened the scoring for the WarHawks with a goal at 4:56 with helpers from his linemates, Oelkers and Berkowitz.
In the second, Toll deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:18 with assists from his teammates Holt and Shea. Bolstad put in a goal at 15:54 with helpers from his linemates, Holt and Dahle. Berkowitz quickly followed with a goal at 16:10 with assists from his linemates, Bolstad and Slagter.
In the third, Toll scored a goal at 5:45 with helpers from Berkowitz and Bolstad. Powell quickly followed with a goal at 7:38 with assists from his linemates, Burke and Steele.
The WarHawks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ericson as he stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced. Ericson’s counterpart, Murphy, also had a big night, managing to stop 53 of 58, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Willmar WarHawks’ record to (22-19-4-0).
